The Christmas table is set, and Westerqwarn fills with the scents and flavors of Christmas. For many, it’s more than just a dinner—it’s the evening when the Christmas spirit truly begins.

Sausage from Åsby, salmon from Borgåsund
At our Christmas buffet, we serve, among other things, sausages from Åsby Kött & Vilt. The hot-smoked salmon comes from Fiskarn in Borgåsund—the same salmon that many of our summer guests will recognize from the menu.
For us, partnering with local producers is a natural part of the Christmas buffet and a way to let flavors from the local area take their place alongside the Christmas classics.

If you’re traveling by RV, you can stay overnight at our RV park, which is open year-round and located right next to Westerqwarn. This is a convenient option for those who want to enjoy the Christmas buffet dinner without having to drive anywhere afterward.

When will the Christmas buffet be served at Westerqwarn in 2026?
The Christmas buffet season at Westerqwarn runs from November 20 to December 24, 2026, with both lunch and dinner seatings on select days.
We serve a Christmas buffet Wednesday through Sunday, with different seating times depending on the day. On Sundays, we serve our Family Christmas Buffet, when Santa Claus also stops by.

Popular dates fill up quickly, and some events are often fully booked as early as the beginning of October, so please don't wait too long if you have a specific date in mind.
How much does the Christmas buffet cost at Westerqwarn?
The price of the Christmas buffet varies depending on the day and seating time. You can find current prices in the price overview above and when you select a date during the booking process.
Children pay 30 SEK per year of age, up to age 14. Beverages are purchased separately on site.
For businesses and larger groups, we also offer beverage packages. Please feel free to email us for larger bookings, and we’ll help you with a cost estimate and a plan tailored to your group.
Can companies and large groups book a Christmas buffet?
Yes. We’re happy to welcome companies, organizations, and larger groups, and we’ll help you find an arrangement that suits your group. For larger bookings, we may also be able to offer a private seating or other arrangements outside of our regular Christmas buffet seating times.
If you’d like to make the most of your day, you can also combine the Christmas buffet with a conference or planning session at Westerqwarn. For larger groups, there’s also the option to add a beverage package.
Please send us a request with your desired date, the approximate number of guests, and your vision for the day or evening, and we'll get back to you with suggestions and a cost estimate.
When do we need to confirm the final number of guests?
It depends on how many people are in your group:
- 1–19 people: The number of guests can be adjusted up to 24 hours before arrival. In the event of a later cancellation or no-show, a fee of 200 SEK per person will be charged.
- 20–39 people: The final number must be confirmed no later than 7 days before arrival. After that, the number may be reduced by no more than 10% up to 24 hours before arrival.
- 40 people or more: The final number must be confirmed no later than 14 days before arrival. After that, the number may be reduced by no more than 10% up to 24 hours before arrival.
For reductions greater than those listed above, the reservation will be charged based on the most recently confirmed number.
Are there vegetarian, vegan, and allergy-friendly Christmas buffets?
Yes. Please notify us of any allergies or special dietary requirements at the time of booking, or no later than 7 days before your visit. For larger groups, we would appreciate it if a designated contact person could gather this information and send it to us in a single email.
We offer a vegan option that is also suitable for guests who prefer a vegetarian meal. It must be pre-ordered and is served as a separate course consisting of one cold and one hot dish. As a vegan, you are also welcome to choose dishes from the regular Christmas buffet that fit your dietary needs. A vegan dessert is available upon request and is included in the price.
The regular Christmas buffet isn't fully labeled with information about vegetarian and vegan options, so feel free to ask the staff which dishes are suitable.
How do payments and invoicing work for businesses?
Payment is made on site unless otherwise agreed in advance.
If you would like an invoice, please let us know before your visit. We will then need your complete billing information, corporate ID number, billing address or billing email address, and any reference number. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate requests for invoicing made on-site.
For companies and larger groups, it is also possible to order drink tickets. The number of tickets and the arrangement must be specified no later than 7 days before arrival. You will be charged for the number of tickets ordered. Unused drink tickets will be credited if they are returned in full before the group leaves Westerqwarn.
Can we request a specific table or seating arrangement at the Christmas dinner?
Yes, you are welcome to request a specific seating arrangement when making your reservation. We will try to accommodate your requests to the best of our ability, but we cannot guarantee specific tables or rooms.
Seating arrangements are planned based on the size of the party, availability, and the specific seating arrangement for that occasion, and may therefore need to be adjusted even shortly before your visit. For this reason, we prefer not to promise a specific seat in advance, but will do our best to create the best possible Christmas dinner experience for all guests.
Different groups can be seated at the same long table, but we do not seat different groups right next to each other.
What should we do if we're running late for the Christmas dinner?
We ask that you respect your reserved arrival time, as this helps us maintain a smooth flow in the restaurant and ensure that all guests have the best possible Christmas buffet experience.
If you're running late, please call us as soon as you can at 0220-406 88. That way, we’ll know you’re on your way and can plan your reception accordingly.
How does the mulled wine get-together before the Christmas dinner work?
You’re welcome to arrive 30 minutes before your reserved seating time for a mulled wine reception in the pub. Please enter through the pub entrance, where we’ll serve non-alcoholic mulled wine and gingerbread before it’s time to move on to the Christmas buffet.
When it's time for your dinner, the staff will greet your party and show you to your table.
Is there entertainment after the Christmas dinner?
Yes, on Friday and Saturday evenings, the night continues with entertainment at the pub after the Christmas dinner. This might include live music, stand-up comedy, or other events, depending on the date.

Is the Christmas buffet accessible by wheelchair or walker?
Yes. All floors where we serve the Christmas buffet are accessible without stairs, but the building does not have an elevator.
Westerqwarn is an older mill building that has retained much of its original character. This includes uneven floors, slight differences in level, and slopes in some places. This rarely causes any major problems for our guests, but depending on where your group is seated, you may need to walk around the outside of the building to reach the correct entrance.
Please let us know at the time of booking if anyone in your party uses a wheelchair or walker, or has other accessibility needs. That way, we can plan your entrance and table placement to ensure your visit goes as smoothly as possible.
Is there parking, and how do we get to Westerqwarn?
Westerqwarn is located in Kolbäck in Västmanland, near Strömsholm, with easy access from the E18. You can easily get here by car from places such as Västerås, Eskilstuna, and the Stockholm area.
Free parking is available on the premises. We recommend using the South Parking Lot or the West Parking Lot first. The East Parking Lot is primarily for staff, but may also be used by guests during peak times.
If you're traveling by train, Kolbäck Station is located near Westerqwarn. From there, you'll need to arrange your own transportation to the mill.
Is it possible to combine the Christmas buffet with a parking spot or an overnight stay?
Yes. For those of you arriving in a motorhome, our parking area is right next to Westerqwarn, which makes it easy to combine the Christmas buffet with an overnight stay.

Can we combine the Christmas dinner with an offer we've received?
We sometimes have special offers and promotions during the Christmas buffet season, such as " Early Christmas." The terms and conditions for each offer are specified in the respective offer.
If you have a special offer, gift card, or other discount that you’d like to use in connection with the Christmas buffet, please let us know when you make your reservation, and we’ll confirm the details. Different offers and discounts cannot always be combined.
Can we order pizza during the Christmas dinner season?
No. During the Christmas dinner season, the wood-fired oven is not in use, so we do not serve our wood-fired pizzas.
During this time, the restaurant focuses on the Christmas buffet.
