Lunch and coffee on site
Meals are served on-site at Westerqwarn, so you can stay in the venue throughout the conference day. For the conference coffee break, we serve sandwiches from Håkans Hembageri, one of our local partners.
We’ll go over lunch options and any special requests together before making the reservation.
With the Strömsholm Canal and the mill setting right outside, you’ll also have the chance to take a break and get some fresh air between meetings.

The Wind
Our conference room for meetings and workshops
Vinden is located on the top floor of the Magasinsbyggnaden and is our dedicated conference room. The seating arrangement is tailored to the group and the day’s agenda, whether you’re gathering for presentations, training sessions, planning meetings, or workshops.
The space can be furnished with, for example:
- Seating arrangements for lectures and presentations
- School sessions for training and course days
- board meetings for discussions and planning
- areas for workshops and group work
- U-shaped table for discussions and Q&A sessions
For larger groups, there are also other venues at Westerqwarn. Contact us, and we’ll help you find the venue and furnishings that best suit your group.
Accessibility: The attic is located on the top floor of the older building and is accessible via a steep staircase. Please let us know in your booking request if anyone in your group has difficulty climbing stairs, and we’ll help you find an alternative solution.

A kickoff event can certainly include more than just meetings. At Westerqwarn, you can combine your conference with meals, activities, and time spent together in the historic mill setting.
Depending on the season and your group’s preferences, you can round out the day with activities such as darts, mini-golf, or other options. Let us know what you’d like to get out of the day, and we’ll help you find a plan that suits your group.

Conference in Kolbäck, near Västerås and Eskilstuna
Westerqwarn is located in Kolbäck, near Strömsholm, and is conveniently situated for businesses from Västerås, Eskilstuna, and the rest of the Mälardalen region. For those traveling by train, Kolbäck Station is nearby, and for guests arriving by car, free parking is available on the premises.
Here, you leave the urban environment behind and are instead greeted by the historic mill setting and the Strömsholm Canal.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can the conference room accommodate, and what kind of furniture is available?
The room can accommodate up to 45 people, depending on the seating arrangement. The space can be set up with theater-style, classroom-style, boardroom-style, island-style, or U-shaped seating. Let us know how you’d like to work throughout the day, and we’ll help you find a setup that works for your group.
For larger groups, there are also Magasinet and Vinterterrassen.
What equipment is available in the conference room?
The Vinden room is equipped with a large-screen monitor, a projector, whiteboards, and flip charts on stands. For digital meetings, there are speakers with a microphone, and there are also speakers for other audio. Notepads and pens are provided for participants.
In the conference room, you'll also have free access to coffee, tea, mineral water, and soft drinks throughout the day.
Do the prices include or exclude sales tax?
All prices listed are exclusive of VAT.
Can we combine the conference with some activities?
Yes. Depending on the season and the group’s preferences, it’s possible to combine the conference with activities such as darts, mini-golf, or other options. Please let us know what you have in mind, and we’ll help you see which options fit your plans.
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Yes. Please let us know about any special dietary requirements or allergies at least one week before the conference so that we can plan the meals based on the group's needs.
When do we need to provide the final number of participants?
When making a reservation, you may provide a preliminary number of participants. We need to receive the final number of participants no later than one week before the conference.
Is Vinden accessible to people with limited mobility?
The attic is located at the very top of the old mill building and is accessed via a steep staircase. Since much of the building’s historic character and original features remain intact, the attic space is not suitable for people who have difficulty climbing stairs. Please let us know in your booking request if anyone in your group has limited mobility, and we’ll look into an alternative solution.
