Westerqwarn has stood by the Strömsholm Canal since the 1800s. First as a flour mill.Then as a warehouse. Later left to decay, before finding new life once again. Today, it'sthe place where you'll find yourself wondering why you didn't visit sooner.
The canal flows quietly by, just as it has for hundreds of years. Just beyond the road liesthe golf course. All around are forests, trails, and the kind of silence you only find outsidethe cities. Inside the mill, the air smells of sourdough and wood fire. It's not a restaurantwith a nice view.
It's a place with a restaurant and concerts, motorhome pitches, mini golf, an ice creambar, and more than 1,400 guests who've said they'll be back.

Wood-fired pizza, seasonal bistro
The wood-fired oven has been here since 2020. It hasn’t been cold since then. We bake wood fired sourdough pizza using dough that's fermented for 48 hours and topped with Fior di Latte mozzarella and Italian prosciutto. On the bistro menu, you’ll find sirloin steak, baked char, and seasonal vegetables. Lunch is served Monday through Sunday.

What are your opening hours?
We are open Monday through Sunday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m., from June through August. The parking area is open year-round. From September through November, we are open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Special hours apply during the Christmas buffet season (November–December).
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome in most areas of the facility. There are some dog-free zones, and dog owners must follow the guidelines for their visit. Read more here: Dog Guidelines (PDF).
How far is Westerqwarn from Västerås?
Westerqwarn is located in Kolbäck, just 20 minutes from Västerås by car. Take the E18 towards Köping and follow the signs to Kolbäck. Free parking is available on site.
